If a business has to run, then there is no way out but at some point or the other it would be forced to manipulate facts and figures. Due to this a problem with trust exists in the business cycle. However, at the same time nothing can happen in the world without trust. Even if someone has to produce goods, they have to do it with the trust that they will find customers. The customer who buys that product places their trust on it first and then their money. Trust is an unspoken value which is shown on a constant basis in the consumer industry.
Similarly, to run an efficient supply chain one should have trust at every single level of it. The main value that fuels the supply chain and makes it possible is trust and not money. However, every company that is new to the model cannot place their trust entirely on their supply chain model and only when the cycle starts running will everything fall into place. The supply chain partners cannot afford to have a breach of trust in trade because that will break down the whole supply chain itself. Right from a raw material to the end product at all the levels of process one has to trust the other that it will be done and delivered and in turn the former will get paid as said.
