These days most finished products come with tags and bar codes that are easy to read with the help of optical markers. Even small scale industries are using these because all the products are read and coded electronically. Most of the products are identified using batch codes and specific bar codes. This procedure helps at several levels of the business for a company. For example, when the finished goods arrive at a warehouse, they can be recorded using the optical reader and they are immediately registered by the system of the date of manufacture and the batch number which usually related to the specific production cycle. Every production cycle in a company has a maximum number to which it has to stick.
